About me
Saori Kawasumi Lewis is Conservator of Photography at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, MO. She received BA in foreign language studies with emphasis on English from Seinan Gakuin University in Japan, BFA in photography from Kansas City Art Institute, and MA with certificate in advanced studies in art conservation from Buffalo State College. Saori started her training in art conservation at Heugh-Edmondson Conservation Services. After entering the graduate program, she completed internships at Weissman Preservation Center, Cultural Recovery Center in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
