About me
Karina Beeman is a CCI paper and photographs conservator on contract for the National Park Service. From 2008 to 2023, she worked at the Paul Messier Conservation Studio following her completion of the Advanced Residency Program in Photograph Conservation at the George Eastman House in Rochester, NY, as an Andrew W. Mellon Fellow. She holds a diploma in oil and tempera painting conservation from Rerih College of Art and earned her MA in History of Art and Art Criticism from the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture in Saint Petersburg, Russia. From 1998 to 2007, she worked as a conservator at the Oriental Painting Conservation Laboratory of the State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
